We’re looking for a Senior Carbon & Climate Strategy Expert (m/f/d) to co-own and evolve our carbon and climate product strategy together with our dedicated product manager. You’ll bring deep domain expertise in carbon accounting, climate regulation, and supply chain emissions — combined with a strategic mindset, customer empathy, and AI-powered ways of working. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and our Sustainability Expert Team and is ideal for someone who wants to turn regulatory complexity into scalable, intelligent product capabilities.

What can you expect?

Shape our carbon and climate strategy
  • Own and evolve IntegrityNext’s carbon management and climate reporting strategy, including Scope 1–3 emissions, product carbon footprints, and CBAM compliance
  • Monitor regulatory developments and proactively convert them into strategic product direction and scalable solution concepts
  • Translate carbon standards (GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, ESRS, IFRS/ISSB, CBAM, PACT, Catena-X) into data models, workflows, and AI-ready product logic
  • Use AI tools to accelerate regulatory analysis, automate research synthesis, and identify emerging compliance patterns ahead of the market
Guide product development with customer and regulatory insight
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to design AI-supported carbon accounting and reporting features — bridging regulatory complexity and product execution
  • Analyse customer carbon management processes and translate needs into clear product logic, functional specs, and implementation guidance
  • Define data flows, calculation methodologies, validation logic, and system behaviours that operationalise carbon and reporting obligations
  • Leverage AI-assisted analysis to stress-test assumptions, model scenarios, and improve carbon methodology accuracy
Act as a strategic interface
  • Act as the central internal and external expert on carbon management, climate disclosure, and regulatory-driven decarbonisation
  • Support Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing with expert input, webinars, and carbon-related enablement
  • Translate field insights into structured feedback for the product roadmap, onboarding design, and AI-enabled workflows

What should you bring along?

Carbon & climate expertise
  • 5+ years in carbon accounting, climate reporting, sustainability consulting, or regulatory advisory — ideally with enterprise customers
  • Strong knowledge of GHG Protocol (Corporate & Scope 3), ISO 14064, ESRS (CSRD), IFRS/ISSB, and CBAM. Familiarity with PACT and Catena-X is a strong plus
  • Experience with Scope 1–3 calculations, product carbon footprints, emissions factor handling, or lifecycle-based carbon methodologies
Strategic & analytical strength
  • Ability to translate regulations into structured data models, workflows, and system logic
  • Comfortable guiding cross-functional teams through complex, ambiguous problem spaces with a product management mindset
  • Experience working with or advising enterprise customers on carbon and sustainability challenges
AI & digital fluency
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g. LLMs, copilots, AI-assisted analysis) to work more efficiently — whether for research, content creation, or data analysis
  • Interest in how AI can transform carbon accounting, regulatory monitoring, and sustainability reporting at scale (curiosity is a must)
Communication & collaboration
  • Fluent in English; German is a strong advantage
  • Structured communicator who can simplify complex carbon methodologies for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Trusted advisor mindset with empathy, pragmatism, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills
